If the African woman's voice is to be heard, if her work is to be accorded the due recognition it deserves, not only must she be excellent at work, but she must be ready to play according to the rules of the game. Self-positioning is not self-promotion, self-positioning is telling it as it is and taking pride in one's self, identity, and contributions.
