Save the day, Tuesday, July 20th from 12:00 - 1:30 PM (EST. Washington DC time) to attend the panel “Current Levels of Representation of Women in Human Rights Organs and Mechanisms: Ensuring gender parity, a discussion on the Report of the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee.” The panel will discuss the recently-published report of the UN Human Rights Council Advisory Committee, which outlines findings on the current levels of representation of women in UN human rights bodies and puts forth recommendations on how to promote and implement gender balance in these organs.
This promises to be an enriching conversation with @Jarpa Dawuni, @Nienke Grossman, @Viviana Krsticevic, @Elizabeth Salomon and @Claudia Martin touching upon the current challenges facing women in international law and discussing the report’s proposed roadmap to achieve gender parity in human rights bodies, and we hope that you will join us!
*Event sponsored by the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, ASIL's Women in International Law Interest Group, GQUAL, and the Institute for African Women in Law.
